Hi Point Program
Enrollment Information
The National PMU is pleased to offer a program for our Registered horses that compete at Horse Shows. By tracking points through the show season we can award the Hi Point earners in each division.
The divisions are as follows:
English for horses that compete in any show event under English tack. This includes English Pleasure, Equitation, Fit and Show, Trail, Jumping, Hunter Hack, Dressage, or combined training.
Western for horses that compete in judged events under western tack. This includes Western Pleasure, Equitation, Fit and Show, Trail, Western Riding, Reining or any working class that is not timed.
Gymkhana For timed events such as Cloverleaf barrels, Pole Bending, Straight barrels, any “game” type class that is based strictly on time.
Driving For horses shown under harness. This includes Pleasure Driving, Reinsmanship, Obstacle, or any pulling type events.
Halter For horses shown in hand judged strictly on conformation. Any conformation halter class will count with a bonus given for Grand and Reserve placing. (On form note Grand and Reserve in class name and put in 10 pts for Grand 5 for Reserve!)
Youth For riders or handlers 17 and under. Must not turn 18 until after Nov. 15 of competition year. Can include any placing from the above divisions. Must be shown by the youth only. Points from other handlers or riders will not count.
Rules and Regulations
An enrollment form must be submitted prior to accumulating points. Points will be accumulated effective the postmark date of entry. Points can be counted from shows between the dates of March 1 to November 15, providing the entry form is postmarked prior to March 1. A $10 fee in US Dollars must be enclosed for each division entered.
With the exception of the Youth division, the horse may have points submitted under different handlers or riders on the same form.
