Q: I mailed in my registration form two weeks ago...Why haven't I heard anything?

A: We do not send notification that apps were received. Checks are deposited weekly and there is a 1wk to 10 day holding period to make sure checks have cleared. The average turn around time for registration certificates to me mailed is 4 wks from the date we receive the application. Most every other registry tells you not to even ask them until 8 wks has passed!!! Of course sometimes it's quicker and sometimes it's a week or two longer. Please email us if you have any concerns about your app being received!

Q: Why do paints and appaloosa's need photos?

A: Due to the difficulty in describing colorful horses, we use the photos on the back of the certificate for Identification purposes. It is very important to include the three photos with your app. Full body shots of right and left side, and a front view. Feel free to add additional ones that show a unique marking for their files. We get many photos of just the face and with various parts of the body not visible.

Q: How do I know what Type to put my horse as?

A: Western is for stock type breeds, QH's, Paints, Apps, basically your stocky built light horse breed types.

English is for horses that more resemble Thoroughbreds or Warmbloods.

Draft Cross is for horses showing evidence of Draft influences, thick stocky legs, big hooves, thick necks and large heads.

Draft is for the BIG Ones, Percherons, Belgians, Shires, Clydes, etc.

It does not limit in anyway the classes your horse can be shown in. It is merely to describe the horses body type. We do not put specific breeds on the certs just the types listed above.

Q: Are Canadian horse owners able to register their horses?

A: Absolutely!!!! The more the merrier! However, please note all fees are in US Dollars!

Tips for Filling out your application

1.) Write neatly or type the application if possible!

2.) Fill out all information correctly and completely. Any missing information will delay processing your application.

3.) Color, if your not sure send us a photo and we'll help you name it! Also if your horse is a pinto, then select the base color. There is a section to tell us if it is a pinto...it's a safe bet the other color is white! :-)

4.) Send clear photos if you have a pinto or appaloosa. Photos should be of the full left side and right side including hooves and ears! A full frontal shot for face markings. We get many photos of horses missing their legs and tails!

5.) Enclose your payment! We have kept our registration fee very reasonable and have no yearly membership fees. The current fee is $25.00 US Dollars
